Returns & Refunds

Last updated: 28 June 2026

Wider Cable supplies Ethernet and USB cables to businesses on a quote-and-order basis. This policy explains when goods can be returned, how returns are handled, and how refunds or credits work. It sits alongside our Product Warranty (which covers manufacturing defects) and Shipping & Delivery (which covers how shipments and returns are arranged).

When goods can be returned

  • Defective, incorrect, or damaged goods — if what you receive is faulty, not what your order specified, or arrives damaged, contact us promptly and we will make it right (replace, repair, or credit). Faults in materials or workmanship are handled under the Product Warranty.
  • Other returns — because we supply to order, returns for any other reason (for example a change of requirement) are by prior agreement only and may be subject to a restocking charge. Custom, OEM, branded, or cut-to-length items are made to your specification and cannot be returned unless they are defective.

We do not offer exchanges. To change a specification, length, or colour, return the goods under this policy (where eligible) and place a new order.

How to start a return (RMA)

Contact your sales team at sales@widercable.com before sending anything back, and include:

  • your order or purchase-order number, or our sales invoice;
  • the product code (SKU) and quantity; and
  • a description of the issue, with photos or a short video for damage or quality concerns.

We will confirm whether the return is approved and give you a return authorisation and the correct return address. Goods sent back without prior authorisation may be refused.

Condition and packaging

Returned goods must be unused, in resaleable condition, and in their original packaging with any accessories included. Pack items to protect them in transit, and do not write on or attach labels to the product's own packaging. Returns that arrive used, incomplete, or damaged by poor packing may be reduced or declined.

Inspection on delivery

Check your shipment on arrival. If anything is damaged, missing, or incorrect, tell your sales contact promptly — and within any claim window noted on your delivery documents — and keep photos of the outer carton and contents so we can pursue a carrier claim where needed.

Who pays return shipping

  • Defective, incorrect, or damaged goods: we cover the agreed return shipping, or send a replacement, at no cost to you.
  • Other approved returns: you arrange and pay for return shipping. Use a trackable, adequately insured method and share the tracking number with us.

Refunds and credits

Once we receive and inspect the returned goods, we confirm the outcome and issue any refund or credit note to the original business account — normally by the same method used for payment (typically bank/wire transfer). On non-defect returns, original shipping and any bank or transaction fees are non-refundable, and a restocking charge may be deducted. The time funds take to arrive depends on your bank.

Changing or cancelling an order

If an order has not yet entered production or shipped, contact sales@widercable.com as soon as possible and we will try to change or cancel it — though this cannot be guaranteed once production or dispatch is under way. Custom or OEM orders already in production may not be cancellable.
